As of Aug 2nd he will have a new address in Oklahoma, and for now we will send them to the mission home till we here where he's going so:

2nd week in the MTC

hey everybody. life in the mtc is just great. people have lots of respect for everybody. we sing alot and pray allot. it is really bringing me closer to christ. i love this gospel and the things in it. i love teaching it and sharing it with our "investigators" . there kind of fake. but we really teach them the gospel. we are teaching this guy that has one leg and wont shut up about it. we cant get a word in. every time we try to talk he just shuts us up and keeps talking. but thats ok. one of outher investigators. is rosanne and every time i hear her name i think of that TOTO song. but we just commited her to babtizum. we are learning so much its crazy. (im saying we because im allready use to my comp) i just relized he is the most important person in my life right now. he cool, athletic, and funny. we get along great. except for in the morning. im kind of a morning person and he hates the world with a passion when he wakes up. the rest of our district is cool to we get along so great. i know there was devine insperation when we were called into this district. i couldnt see myself in any other district. i gess if your going to send a package send me levis my skinny ones, a nice t shirt or two, gum (i know we cant have it but my breath smells so bad) and if you feel so desired a fan for my room. the A/C do not work so its allways at 85! and hard to sleep in. but you know only if you feel like it. im getting fat. i have gained six pounds. even though i dont like the food. i said i liked it because it good on wednesday. and thats it. every other time i cry when i eat. JK send me dakotas address. i want to wright him. and mabey a tape recorder. i want to hear your voices. have every one speak in it. o im leaving for oklahoma Next TUESDAY at 6 a.m. so im going to call you guys mabey twice so be ready for it. i have to be to the airport at 4:30!!!! so pray that i can sleep on the plain. im really missing music because you cant play it in the mtc. because it can get really loud. i went to the tempel today. and didnt remeber anything. so i was so confused. my comp helped me out. but still. durring gym we play 4 square and it gets really crazy people are getting hurt and stuff. but its a blast and a half. i really enjoyed the pictures you sent me. you sould send some more. of just every day life. im take ing pictures but not as often as you would like. but i got all the important stuff. im not a fan of showering here. just so you know. or shaving. but there is nothing i can do about that. any way thanks for all the letters and stuff. i really like when i get mail. thank you angie and aaron for the M&Ms they were great. i dream of caffene because im so tierd because i dont sleep. so if you really want send me a Mountin Dew or a coke. but i dont need them. i love the mtc people really love it or hate it. and you know what i love it. 57 every body wants me to draw them a pair of shoes. so i have a list of like 32 people that when i get off my mission i can start working on. i wish i had my unicle here for p days. because we dont really do allot. o studying is going fine. i like learning the gospel of jesus christ. i read every night. and like it. SHOCKING! i know alot about the gospel but there is still a ton to know and learn. i wont give up faith in God. he is allways there for me. i have a firm testimony in the book of mormon. it really changes people. if you are ever strugling in like go read the Bof M. it has helped me in my life and it can help any one. forget thouse self help books. the B of M is all you need. i read about a missionary with ammon that gave up every thing to go on a mission. even his friends betrade him and took all his gold and silver. because he went on a misson. so imm give ing up nothing. but i would give up everything to know god. i love you all im out of time. keep up the fait and dont stop beliving. First P-Day

hi mom and dad and every one else who happens to read this

so every thing is just swell my companion is awsome he is really in tune with the spirit. the food is not so good. its kind of like school lunch only every one prayes at the first. i kind of keeping my room clean. i have trouble making my bed when i wake up in the morning. but other than that every thing is handy dandy. i am teaching lessons like crazy. on investigator is named kenny. he doesnt belive in god so we are teaching him about god and how to pray and stuff. he isnt a real investigator he is just our teacher thats acting. well how is every one doing. i really like getting letters. my comp (elder Brevard) gets like 5 letter every day. so its kind of sucks watching him open letters all the time. he has a girlfriend waiting for him so she is writing him like crazy. like ten page letters. but thats ok. the mtc is so cool i really like all the studying (not) and the work is so interesting. the spirit is so strong here all you have to do is listin. sorry i cant spell just kind of sound it out. it will make sense. but any way i dont like waking up at 6:30 im so tired. i keep almost falling asleep in class. but i dont. but i got to get a nap today so thats goood. with 3 o's im kind of hyper from the spirtical high. so every thing out of my mouth is funny. people really like me i think. but im not sure. my district is like the best district in the mtc.we are so unifiyed. and on the same page. we have 12 people in our district and you see them every day. so we are all geting along spectacular. our room is small but its the party room every one in our dorm. is always in there singing or reading or eating. or telling jokes. its cool some times but its hard to feel the spirit in there. our district leader is my companion. he was called the first day. and im senor comp and so i still have to go with him to like meatings and stuff. and he still looks at me for gidence. when we are teaching lessons though he dosnt really let me talk. i gess he thinks he knows more than i do. so when i go to talk he kind of interupts me. but we are still learning and growing, he will change i think. we played basketball yesterday and i got really into it. i was agressive. and a real go geter. but nothing like the elders we played with. elder calahan is like 6.2 and can play ball with the best of them. if he is on your team you win. we do all kinds of things during our gym time. like 4 square, softball, vollyball, run, and lifting weights. thats my favorite time of the day.sorry pressing tab sends your email. so we had a devotional on sunday it was so cool we had a musical number. and it was come thou font. and it was so powerfull. not that it was better than yours. but still.we sang well bring the world his truth. and it was a battle march so we sang with the spirit. well i am almost out of time so i love you and you guys are the best. i really miss you and every body else. i miss pizza factory. and the people that work there. i miss girls. alot. your not allowed to flirt with the sisters but thats a good thing. im still getting use to the mtc but its all good in the hood.

 P.S. thanks for the oreos and the garments i really running low on that stuff. thanks mom and dad and lauren (second mom) for pushing me to go on my mission. i still would have went but thanks any way. o and my comp is from texas so he says yall alot and its just funny. yall have fun now. love you like a son a brother a friend and a grandson.

First letter from the MTC

Dear Mom and Family,
I love you all so much.  The first night here was very long, I kept waking up.  It's really hot in our room.  My companion is so great.  When I first met him I thought this is going to be great.  He always answers question and tonight he got called as a District leader, and I got called as a Senior companion.  My P-day is Tues.  I like the food and the people are always so friendly and helpful.  I miss you guys so much but I will stay focused.  O remember the elder with the sun glasses and the phone texting…..well he is one of my roommates.  I'm really breaking out of my shell and getting to know alot of people.  I will write you a real letter on my p-day.  I love you all lots!
